This scholarship honours the memory of Gale Peace, who was instrumental in her role with the Early Learning and Child Care Program and other Human Services programs in the School of Community Studies.

Established by Brent and Hugh Alexander, this award has been created in honour of the many contributions of the Iniikokaan Centre Advisory Council members since its creation in 2008. The award will be provided to an Indigenous learner who has overcome adversity and barriers to reach successful graduation from any certificate of diploma program at Bow Valley College.

The Personal Insurance Alumni Partner award recognizes two students per year in the Business Administration Diploma who want to pursue a career in insurance and risk management

This award is in honour of licensed practical nurse Rita Light. Rita, a single mother, retired in 2020 after a 45 year-long career in nursing, 25 of which were spent with the Alberta Children’s Hospital. This award is dedicated to all those who exhibit a similar passion for helping others.

The Trust Fund was established in 1984 to enhance and enrich the educational opportunities and learning experiences of full-time students. This fund, now endowed, is an example of commitment, caring and dedication by Bow Valley College staff.

Established through the generosity of the Wing Kei Care Centre, this award will reward students who demonstrate excellence in the Practical Nurse Diploma or Health Care Aide program.
